Vic DiGeronimo Jr.

CEO at DiGeronimo Companies

Victor DiGeronimo Jr. serves as Chief Executive Officer of the DiGeronimo Companies, a 70-year-old, family-owned enterprise delivering integrated construction, demolition, environmental, and development services nationwide. Under his leadership, the organization has evolved into a fully diversified platform offering comprehensive, turnkey solutions across the heavy civil, industrial, environmental, and real estate sectors.

Victor provides strategic oversight across all operating companies, guiding long-term growth initiatives, capital investment strategy, and enterprise risk management. He leads the annual procurement of millions of dollars in equipment and fleet assets to support national operations and remains actively engaged in cultivating client relationships, identifying new market opportunities, and strengthening strategic partnerships. He also oversees critical corporate functions including banking, bonding, and insurance, ensuring the financial strength and stability of the enterprise.

A hands-on leader with deep operational roots, Victor began his career at Independence Excavating as an equipment operator. He advanced through the field ranks to Superintendent before being named Vice President in 2000, President in 2009, and Chief Executive Officer in 2017 — a progression that reflects both his leadership acumen and intimate understanding of the business from the ground up. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and an Associate Degree in Marketing and Sales from The University of Akron, graduating with distinction — an academic foundation that complements his operational expertise and growth-oriented leadership style.
Beyond construction, Victor has played a transformative role in large-scale redevelopment projects across Northeast Ohio. He led the acquisition and repositioning of the former Chrysler Stamping Plant in Twinsburg, now Cornerstone Business Park, and the former Ford Motor Company facilities in Brook Park and Walton Hills, now Forward Innovation Center East and West. He spearheaded the redevelopment of the 103-acre former VA Hospital campus in Brecksville into Valor Acres — a premier mixed-use live-work-play district anchored by the new DiGeronimo Companies headquarters.

Victor was instrumental in advancing the development partnership that will deliver the new Huntington Bank Field and surrounding mixed-use district in Brook Park — a transformational project designed to elevate the region’s national profile and economic vitality. Further reinforcing the company’s leadership in civic development, he guided DiGeronimo Development’s selection as Master Development Partner for Cleveland’s downtown lakefront, a once-in-a-generation opportunity to reconnect the city to Lake Erie and reimagine its waterfront.

Victor is deeply committed to advancing the construction industry and supporting the broader community. He serves as Chair of the Union Contractors Committee for the Associated General Contractors of America, is a member of the Ohio Contractors Association, and contributes to both the Labor Executive Committee and the Consulting Constructors’ Council of America. His philanthropic leadership includes service on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross of Northeast Ohio and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. His leadership has been recognized with numerous honors, including the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in the Family Business category, the Smart Business Smart50 award, and recognition in Cleveland Magazine’s Cleveland 500, celebrating the region’s most influential business and community leaders.

Victor resides in Independence, Ohio, where he enjoys spending time with his three children and pursuing his passion for hunting.
